Robert Pattinson’s Batman is definitely going to have his work cut out for him, as Matt Reeves’ film will gather together six of Gotham’s most-wanted to start his potential trilogy.
According to character breakdowns reported by WeGotThisCovered The Batman will be facing The Penguin, Catwoman, Riddler, Two-Face, Firefly and Mad Hatter – so a collection of iconic characters for Pattinson’s first outing as the Dark Knight.
Firefly/Garfield Lynns will be a “male, 20-30” who is described as “a professional arsonist” who “attempts to burn all the places he didn’t have the privilege to go to as an orphan child.”
Mad Hatter/Jervis Tetch will be an older male of around “40-50” who is “a scientist who invents and uses technological mind-controlling devices to influence and manipulate the minds of his victims.”
As for the other characters, casting for Riddler and Two-Face is considering actors of “30-40”, for Catwoman is considering actresses “20-30”, and for The Penguin actors “20-40” but in particular a “short, obese man with a long nose.”
However, the report is quick to clarify that this information comes from an early production document, so there’s plenty of time for this line-up to change, but as of now it’s looking to be a strong start for Reeves’ Batman.
The Batman is currently set for release on June 25th, 2021.
