Not content with being part of one epic sci-fi franchise, Paul Rudd has now joined Jason Reitman’s new Ghostbusters film.
Rudd announced the news himself via a Twitter video shot outside the original films’ iconic fire station – where the actor also reveals that he will be shooting this autumn:

Reitman’s is the first direct sequel to the 1984 and 1989 films, and though the project is currently in the works, a lot about the sequel is still under wraps. What is known, however, is that the story will be somehow connected to the original films, and original cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Sigourney Weaver will be making an appearance.
But the focus will be on new cast members Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace who will somehow be linked to the original story.
Reitman’s Ghostbusters is set to hit cinemas on July 10th, 2020.
